e-cloth Is Endorsed By Allergy UK For a Reason
"Aaaaaaaaaa-choooooo". Is that a common sound when you are dusting at your house? It used to be at ours because my husband is very allergic to dust. I know, I know. Aren't we ALL allergic to dust in some way or another? Well, I mean my husband can flare up pretty bad with itchy and puffy eyes, sneezing, and not be able to function well after getting into dust. No pressure to keep my house dusted regularly, ha!
Sometimes Jeff would go into the back room at work (read, "DUSTY") and have to come home to take a quick shower. Even after a shower, he still can't function really well and usually has to take some meds to get back on track.
You may not be that bad with dust (or maybe you are), but I tell about Jeff's problems with dust as a preface to say that he thinks the brown e-cloth Furniture Cloth is quite amazing for his dust allergies.
I've already lost a General Purpose Cloth to Jeff's workplace (remember the coffee pot cleaning?), but this time he went to work ready to dust. What a brave man! ;) One of his employees had left the company, and there was some cleaning to be done in preparation for a new employee. So Jeff dusted the really dusty work area (let's just say it was a man desk) with e-cloth and afterwards had to call home to give his astonishing report.
"Hey Jamie, I just cleaned Nate's desk with the e-cloth. It was SOOOO dusty. And I'm completely fine. The thick dust picked up great, and I didn't even sneeze. The cloth is full of dust so it really does pick it all up instead of just pushing it into the air. My eyes aren't puffy or anything". Wow honey, thanks so much for that amazing testimony. Can you document that on our "Customer Reviews" page, ha, ha, ha!
Nah, he knew I'd write a blog post about it. So here I am telling you, the Furniture Cloth makes a wonderful dusting cloth. It has e-cloth's normal microfiber on one side, and is really shaggy on the other side. I use it dry, and it's so soft and fun to use. Again, even my boys can help dust now because I know the job will be done right now (more thanks to the cloth than to little boy cleaning skills).
No, You Don't Need Pledge for Dusting
Some of you ask about dusting with Pledge. No, you do not need these patroleum polishers. Dry dusting is good enough for your real woods on a regular basis. If you want to restore moisture to your wood furniture, there are some natural ways to do so. Just do a quick Google search to find some oils and such that would work. The days of polishing weekly really aren't the way to go when you are trying to move to "chemical-free".
Glass Polishing Cloth + General Purpose Cloth = Clean Windows and Mirrors
The e-cloth Furniture Pack on sale comes not only with the dusting Furniture Cloth but also with a Glass & Polishing Cloth. I don't use this so much for dusting, but I LOVE it for window and mirror cleaning! I have also polished faucets and stainless steal with it as well.
If you have already purchased some of the General Purpose e-cloths but don't have a Glass & Polishing Cloth yet, I highly recommend getting one by purchasing the Furniture Pack. You will be able to add amazing dusting AND glass/window to your new cleaning hobbies! :)
To clean windows and mirrors, use a damp General Purpose e-cloth to wipe the glass clean. Then polish it dry with your Glass & Polishing Cloth. Adios window cleaning chemicals! It will be the best window cleaning results you have ever seen, guaranteed. :)
If you don't already have a General Purpose e-cloth, I recommend picking one up along with this Furniture Pack. Gen Purpose can be used for kitchen and bathroom cleaning and disinfecting and can be used with the Glass & Polishing Cloth for window and mirror cleaning.
If you DO have a Glass & Polishing Cloth already, still don't hesitate to get the Furniture Pack. I like having a few Glass & Polishing Cloths on hand for different levels of the house or to have one handy when another is in the wash.
