Random Deals: $7 for 36 Bic Markers at Staples

Ok, so this is the girl who on her first visit to Toys R Us as a child, chose a pack of markers when her father said, "you may pick out one toy". Sad, isn't it? And 20 years later, I still oooo and awwww over the pretty colors in a pack of markers. So when I stumbled upon the online coupon for $3 off Bic Markers, found here, I went ahead and printed one to save for a rainy day. Then last night I saw this same item in the Staples ad for 50% off, a total of $10 for 36 beautiful markers! I hunted down my coupon as fast as possible and behold, we had a match. Today I snagged these babies for $7 at Staples with coupon. Sorry Springfield-ites, I got the last set. I'm very sorry.

But, other office stores will probably price match. So print off your coupon and head to the competitors with the Staples ad in hand!

As for the markers, they are permanent. Bic has a cute little write-up about these online, here. They are actually marketing these for us craft girls, touting that they work great on any surface such as metal, plastic, photos, foils, coated paper, and oily/damp surfaces (whatever that means). And I have to say, the case is super awesome! It's a tri-fold sturdy plastic case.

To make the deal sweeter, Office Depot has $10 off a $25 purchase coupons in their ad this week. I wonder if Office Depot would price match on the markers or if Staples would honor Depot's $10 coupon? If so, you could do all your office supply shopping in one place, get the markers, and get $18 more in office supplies for $15 total. If you try this, let me know if it works!

I do not see that there is a limit on the number of marker sets you can purchase.
